Project completed and ready for the summer season!
We thank everyone for their patience & support during the construction project.
Minor work such as signage, striping, etc. still coming. Landscaping of the new circle will take place this fall/next spring.
After years of planning and final approval by owners, construction is underway on improvements to the Abbot-Beaver Drive intersection.
A primary circle will replace the current Abbot-Beaver T-intersection while a smaller circle to the north on Beaver Drive will facilitate traffic flows to the Village and businesses on Ponderosa Road.
Additional ingress/egress points along Abbot Drive into the Village and Ponderosa Road, and a new pathway will also be constructed adjacent to Ponderosa Road will provide safer pedestrian movement through that area.
With a “not-to-exceed” construction cost of $1.8 million, funding will be covered out of the Sunriver Owner’s Associations Capital Reserve Replacement Fund.
Since 1969, Century West Engineering has been supporting communities throughout the Pacific Northwest by providing a wide range of technical expertise and services, including municipal and aviation engineering.
Through a competitive bidding process, Marcum & Sons, a commercial contractor based in Redmond, Oregon was selected to construct the two circles.
